Tanuj Virwani Discusses His Role In ZEE5's Murshid And Collaborating With Kay Kay Menon

Murshid OTT Release: Engaging with Tanuj Virwani is always delightful as he enjoys discussing his roles and projects. After gaining attention with Yodha and MTV Splitsvilla 15, he has captivated audiences with his dynamic performance in Murshid.

The versatile actor, who is soon to become a father, shared insights about working alongside Kay Kay Menon in Murshid and reflected on his varied career.

Q- You have had a diverse career in film and television. How does your experience with Murshid compare to your previous work?

Tanuj Virwani explained that he views his work collectively across film, OTT, and television. He emphasised focusing on quality rather than quantity. "The last couple of years have been quite eclectic, with various shows on OTT platforms as well as I had my first Dharma film, Yodha. I recently appeared in a reality show, and now we've got Murshid," he said. For him, the impact of scenes matters more than their number. He believes Murshid will stand out among his other works. "We'll have our answers soon enough-it's out on the 30th of August on ZEE5, so let the audience be the judge, jury, and executioner, as they always are," he added.

Q- How was your experience working with Kay Kay Menon? What did you learn or take back from this experience shooting with him?

Tanuj praised Kay Kay Menon's acting prowess. He noted that while preparation is essential, being present in the moment is crucial when working with such a skilled actor. "One of the best things about working with an actor of Kay Kay sir's caliber is that, while you do prepare-you learn your lines, understand the subtext of the scenes-you don't have to over-prepare," he stated. He highlighted that acting involves more than just words; it's about conveying emotions through silences and stillness. Despite having limited scenes together, Tanuj found their interactions remarkable.
