The series is set in the fictional town of 'Talmar' and narrates a passionate love story between two young lovers. It is filled with elements of drama, revenge, tragedy, hatred, and betrayal. Directed by Arpan Gorai, the series introduces newcomers Debdutta Raha and Hiya Roy in lead roles. Debdutta portrays Rana, a rebellious footballer from the Majumdar family who falls for Jahanara, played by Hiya, a lively girl-next-door from their rival family.

Hoichoi's 'Talmar Romeo Juliet' also stars Anirban Bhattacharya as both an actor and creative director.
