Taha Shah Badussha Discusses Fans' Overwhelming Reaction At Cannes 2024

Cannes Film Festival 2024: Taha Shah Badussah, also known as Tajdar, recently made his debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The actor, who gained significant fame from his role in Heeramandi, has quickly become an internet sensation, amassing over 1.1 million followers in less than 15 days. Speaking to Film Companion, Taha shared his experiences with fans at the French Riviera.

Discussing his interactions with fans, Taha said, "There were some incredible people whom I just met from Malaysia! They literally went ballistic! Just before this interview, there was this bunch of girls who went crazy. They were shouting, they weren't saying anything! All of a sudden I looked this way and they were like, 'Tajdar! Tajdar! Tajdar!'"

He further described the emotional reactions of his fans, "After that, they went crazy and they started crying. I have never seen that reaction ever before. They came near me and the amount of photos and videos they took was different but they called their mothers, and their mothers were fans! Their fathers were fans! I was overjoyed and completely taken aback."

Taha Shah Badussah portrayed Tajdar Baloch in the period drama Heeramandi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The series features a star-studded cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman. Taha's role as a young nawab has been well-received by fans.
