Swar Samvad: Empowering India’s Regional Artists Through Collaboration And Education

Damroo music app is launching an initiative to support regional and independent artists. The first event, Swar Samvad, will occur in Jaipur on 25th October. This gathering is designed for Rajasthan's artists, aiming to unite India's diverse regional music voices. It provides a platform for creators to connect and learn from leading figures like Dr. Kumar Vishwas, Anup Jalota, and Pt. Vishwas Mohan Bhatt.

Swar Samvad seeks to elevate independent artists into the mainstream music scene. The mission is to create a new wave of pop culture where these unique voices can resonate globally. This movement is not just about opening doors but also about pioneering change in the industry.

The event will feature over 20 prominent artists and industry experts. They will offer education and empowerment to help artists navigate available opportunities. Key topics include the untapped potential of Rajasthani artists and bridging the gap from folk to pop culture.

Collaboration as a pathway to success will be discussed, along with education and industry knowledge. The role of IPRS and ISRA in protecting artists' rights will also be highlighted. Leveraging digital platforms is another crucial topic that will be covered.

Attendees will gain insights from labels, DSPs, concert and film producers on what the industry wants. The role of radio and other marketing platforms will be explored too. A showcase pitching session in front of labels and producers is part of the event.

Managing IP, finance, and strategic decision-making are essential skills that will be addressed during the sessions. These discussions aim to equip artists with the necessary tools for success in their careers.
