Stree 2 Box Office Triumph: Crosses ₹250 Cr In Six Days, Overtakes SRK's Hits

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, who delivered a hit with Stree in 2018, have reunited for Stree 2. Directed by Amar Kaushik, this much-anticipated sequel also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The film has received rave reviews and has been a box office success.

Stree 2 recorded the highest opening day collection of 2024, earning Rs 60.3 crores (including paid reviews). This marked the highest opener for both Rajkummar and Shraddha. The movie saw significant growth over the opening weekend, surpassing Rs 190 crores after an extended weekend. Despite a drop on the first Monday, it maintained strong box office performance.

According to Sacnilk, Stree 2 experienced a drop of over 31%, earning Rs 38.1 crores on its first Monday (day 5). On the following day (day 6), it saw another decline of over 34%, bringing in Rs 25 crores. This took the total collection to Rs 254.55 crores.

Stree 2 has outperformed Shah Rukh Khan's blockbusters Jawan and Pathaan on its first Tuesday. Pathaan had earned Rs 22 crores while Jawan collected Rs 24 crores on their respective first Tuesdays. Additionally, Stree 2 recorded the fifth highest day six collection after Gadar 2, Animal, Baahubali 2, and Pathaan.

Discussing the success of Stree 2, Amar Kaushik told Connect Cine, "I didn't expect this big response. I think the audience wants such films to come out. Where ever I would go, people kept asking me 'What is the end of Stree?' This film was made on public demand. We didn't hurry with this film because we wanted to do justice to the story. We thought it clicked well with the public when we released the trailer but when we opened the advance ticket sale, we were like, 'What is happening?' This is just love of the public".

The movie's impressive performance highlights its popularity among audiences who eagerly awaited its release. The combination of horror and comedy seems to have struck a chord once again.

The success of Stree in both its original release and sequel demonstrates a strong fan base for this genre blend. The cast's chemistry and engaging storyline continue to draw viewers to theatres.
