Stree 2's Success Attributed To Shraddha Kapoor And Rajkummar Rao, Says Abhishek Banerjee

Stree 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Apatshakti Khurana, has garnered a tremendous response at the box office. Following its release, much of the credit for the film's success has been attributed to Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Headlines have prominently featured their names. When asked if he felt slighted by the focus on Shraddha and Rajkummar in a multi-star cast film, Abhishek responded positively. He said, "They both have done a lot of hard work. Raj has done so much of hard work, he is the only actor after Mithun Chakraborty, from FTII, who has become a hero. Shraddha has been working from so many years, so they deserve the attention they are getting."

The film has amassed Rs. 384.50 crore in just 11 days, which is an impressive feat. It is expected to surpass the Rs. 500 crore mark soon and might even reach Rs. 600 crore.

Abhishek elaborated on his perspective regarding the recognition given to his co-stars. He stated, "We are getting more than what we expected. You called it a multi-star cast; earlier actors like us were called ensemble cast, now you are calling it star cast; that is a big change." He appreciated the love from both audiences and journalists.

He further added that there will come a time when they too will receive similar credit and that junior actors might feel bad then. However, he advises them not to feel bad about their own positions as everyone has their own journey and struggles.

"There will be one day when we will also get the credit and at that time maybe the actors who are junior to us will feel bad," Abhishek continued. "But I keep telling them that don't feel bad for being in your own shoes; you are not in their shoes, you don't know what they are going through."

Abhishek concluded by expressing happiness over the film's success and audience love. He emphasized that there is no room for negative thoughts when everyone is enjoying their space and contributing to the film's success.
