Stree 2 Breaks Box Office Records, Eyes The 400 Cr Milestone
Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 10: Stree 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi, hit theatres on Independence Day (August 15). Despite competition from Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa, the film has exceeded box office expectations.
The horror-comedy Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, has emerged as a historic blockbuster. On its second Saturday, just 10 days post-release, it broke records by surpassing Animal. Estimates suggest that Stree 2 earned around Rs 33 to Rs 34 crore net in India on this day.

With a cumulative total of Rs 344.50 crore net at the Indian box office over ten days, Stree 2 is poised for another remarkable day on its second Sunday. The Janmashtami holiday on Monday is expected to further boost its earnings, potentially pushing it into the Rs 400 crore club.
Stree 2's release on Independence Day ensures a six-week run without major Hindi film competition in September. This gives it a strong chance to surpass the lifetime collections of Animal, Pathaan, and Gadar 2. It might even challenge the final numbers of Jawan by the end of its theatrical run.
Stree 2's impressive performance continued into its second weekend. After an exceptional first extended week with earnings of Rs 292 crore (including previews), the film collected Rs 18.50 crore on Day 9 and approximately Rs 34 crore on Day 10. This marks an impressive increase of about 83%, setting a new record for the highest second Saturday ever, surpassing Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, which earned Rs 33 crore.
