Stree 2 Outshines In Advance Bookings, Setting Stage For Box Office Triumph

Stree 2 vs Khel Khel Mein vs Vedaa Advance Booking Day 1 Update: Movie enthusiasts are in for a treat this Independence Day with three major films releasing. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 Sarkate Ka Aatank, Akshay Kumar's comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein, and John Abraham's action drama Vedaa will hit the screens. The competition is intense, and Stree 2 appears to be leading the pack.

Stree 2 has already shown a strong performance in advance bookings. Directed by Amar Kaushik, this horror-comedy sequel to the 2018 film Stree stars Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi. It has sold over 3.8 lakh tickets and collected Rs 11.37 crores so far.

Interestingly, Stree 2 has outperformed both Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa in advance bookings. According to reports, Khel Khel Mein, featuring Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, and Vaani Kapoor, has sold only 15 thousand tickets, earning Rs 55 lakhs from advance bookings.

John Abraham's Vedaa, marking his first collaboration with Sharvari, is also struggling in advance bookings. The action drama has sold over 23 thousand tickets and earned Rs 56.67 lakhs so far.

The makers of these films initiated advance bookings days ahead of their release due to the big clash. Despite this effort, Stree 2 has managed to dominate the advance booking scene significantly.

While both Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa are yet to cross the Rs 1 crore mark in advance bookings, it is clear that Stree 2 has overshadowed Akshay Kumar's comedy-drama and John Abraham's action drama. With all three movies set to release on Independence Day 2024, Stree 2 seems poised to lead at the box office.

Rajkummar Rao shared his thoughts about Stree 2 with Film Companion: "Same word, same people. It's bigger for sure, same duniya, kuch nahi badla hai. I think jo soul thi uss film ki wo isme bhi hai".

This fierce competition among the three films highlights the excitement surrounding their releases. Fans are eagerly waiting to see which movie will emerge as the box office champion this Independence Day.
