Stree 2's Box Office Collection Day 9: Film Crosses ₹300Cr Milestone

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 9 Prediction: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's latest film, Stree 2, has been one of the most awaited releases this year. Since its debut on August 15, it has been making significant waves at the box office. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film also features Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. Despite facing competition from Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa, Stree 2 has emerged as a box office success, setting new records daily.

Unlike its predecessor, Stree 2 revolves around a sarkata bhoot targeting women in Chanderi town. This horror comedy has captivated audiences with its intriguing plot. The film opened to rave reviews and recorded the highest opening of 2024 with an impressive Rs 60.3 crores (including paid previews).

If current reports are accurate, Stree 2 is set to surpass Prabhas' Baahubali 2 and become the fifth fastest movie to cross the Rs 300 crore mark. The films Jawan, Pathaan, Animal, and Gadar 2 achieved this milestone in six, seven, seven, and eight days respectively.

After a stellar opening weekend, Stree 2 experienced a steady decline in collections during its first week. However, it still managed to maintain a strong hold at the box office, grossing over Rs 270 crores in its first week. Now in its second week, the film continues to perform well.

Sacnilk reports that Stree 2 earned Rs 16 crores yesterday (day eight/second Thursday), bringing its total collection to Rs 290.85 crores. Based on current trends, the film is expected to see a slight dip today (day nine/second Friday), likely earning between Rs 10-15 crores and eventually crossing the Rs 300 crore mark.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Banerjee has hinted at a third installment in the Stree series. He told Indian Express, "It will take time. Now that Stree 2 has become such a big hit, I know that it won't take six years to make it like we did with Stree 2. That's for sure. Some parts of the script are already written. It is going to be a big epic saga and as an actor I am dying to be back on that set."

The buzz around Stree 2 continues to grow as it maintains its momentum at the box office. Fans eagerly await further developments regarding the potential third installment of this popular series.
