Stree 2 Box Office Collection Update: Shraddha Kapoor's Film Earns Under Rs 1 Cr After OTT Release

Stree 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has experienced a slowdown at the box office after an impressive run. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by JioStudios and Maddock Films, this supernatural horror-comedy premiered on 15th August 2024. It received positive feedback from both audiences and critics. As the fourth installment in Maddock Films' horror-comedy series, it has grossed over 700 crores globally. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee.

Stree 2 emerged as the year's biggest film with an opening collection of Rs 51.8 crore on its first day, excluding paid reviews. The movie maintained its momentum, earning Rs 291.65 crore in the first week, Rs 141.4 crore in the second week, Rs 70.2 crore in the third week, Rs 36.1 crore in the fourth week, and Rs 24.65 crore in the fifth week.

Despite its initial success, Stree 2 is now witnessing minimal growth at the box office. According to Sacnilk's report, it collected approximately Rs 1.25 crore on its sixth Wednesday (September 25), bringing its total estimated nett collection to Rs 581.5 crore over a span of 42 days.

The film's gross collection in India has reportedly reached Rs 693.50 crore. As Stree 2 nears the end of its theatrical run, Sacnilk reports that it earned around Rs 54 lakhs today (7th Thursday) by 6 PM. With current trends suggesting a decline, it's expected to earn less than Rs 1 crore today (day 43). For those interested, Stree 2 is now available for streaming on OTT platforms.
