Stree 2 Continues Strong Run, Eyes ₹560Cr Milestone On Day 34
Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 34 Prediction: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's film Stree 2 has been making waves, ending a long dry spell at the box office. Directed by Amar Kaushik, this sequel to the 2018 release Stree is the fifth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. The film also features Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi and had a massive opening, collecting Rs 60.3 crores.
Stree 2 not only became the highest opener for both Rajkummar and Shraddha but also recorded the highest opening of 2024. The film entered the Rs 100 crore club during its opening weekend and crossed Rs 300 crore in its second weekend. With no major releases competing, Stree 2 has dominated the box office, outperforming Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa, which were released on August 15.

After an exceptional run at the box office, Stree 2 saw significant growth during its fifth weekend. On day 31 (fifth Saturday), it earned Rs 5.4 crores, followed by Rs 6.75 crores on day 32 (fifth Sunday). However, there was a notable drop of over 50% on day 33 (fifth Monday), with collections amounting to Rs 3 crores. This brought the total earnings of the movie to Rs 557.85 crores.
Given current trends, Stree 2 is expected to maintain its steady performance today (day 34/fifth Tuesday) at the box office. The horror comedy is projected to earn between Rs 2-3 crores today, pushing its total collection in India past Rs 560 crores. It remains to be seen if Stree 2 can become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is preparing for his fourth release of the year. He will star opposite Triptii Dimri in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. This comedy-drama is set to hit theatres on October 11.
The success of Stree 2 has been remarkable, marking significant milestones for both lead actors and setting new records for Hindi cinema in recent years.
