Stree 2's Box Office Journey: From Budget To Audience Expectations
Stree 2 Hit Or Flop: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor return with the eagerly awaited sequel to their 2018 hit, Stree. The new film, titled Stree 2 Sarkate Ka Aatank, is directed by Amar Kaushik and marks the fifth entry in the Maddock Supernatural universe following Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. Alongside Shraddha and Rajkummar, the cast includes Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi. Varun Dhawan and Tamannaah Bhatia also make cameo appearances.
Unlike its predecessor, Stree 2 introduces a sarkata bhoot (headless ghost) terrorising Chanderi and targeting women. The film's trailer and catchy songs have generated significant buzz among fans, who are eager to see if it will succeed at the box office.

Producer and film business expert Girish Johar shared with Filmibeat that Stree 2 is expected to have a grand opening. Paid reviews will be available on August 14 evening. The movie is projected to earn Rs 30 crores on its first day, potentially surpassing this figure based on audience feedback.
Stree 2 Budget
Media reports indicate that Stree 2 has a budget exceeding Rs 50 crores. Filming locations include Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.
Will Stree 2 Be A Hit?
The early reviews describe Stree 2 as an exhilarating experience. With high expectations for its box office performance, fans are optimistic about its success. However, the final outcome will depend on how well it performs in the coming days.
If predictions hold true, Stree 2 could break several box office records. It may surpass Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter as the highest opener of 2024. Additionally, it could become the highest opener for both Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Notably, Stree 2 has already set a record for advance booking collections for day one, beating Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD.
The excitement surrounding Stree 2 is evident from its early reviews and substantial advance bookings. Fans are hopeful that this horror comedy will replicate or even surpass the success of its predecessor at the box office.
