Sooraj Barjatya Dedicates National Film Award To Rajshri Productions On Its 75th Anniversary

National Film Awards 2024: Rajshri Productions, one of the oldest and most respected production houses in Indian cinema, recently celebrated its 75th anniversary. Acclaimed director Sooraj R Barjatya received the Best Director award for his film 'Uunchai' at the 70th National Film Awards. Upon receiving this honour, Barjatya expressed his gratitude by dedicating the award to Rajshri Productions and his family. Filmmaker Mahaveer Jain shared a heart-warming video from the film's trailer launch, which was re-shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Reflecting on the moment, Sooraj R Barjatya said, "'Uunchai' was a special film, created in the 75th year of Rajshri Productions. I dedicate this award to all my elders in the family and to Rajshri Productions."

Another part of Taran Adarsh's caption read, "On this occasion, producer #MahaveerJain shared his heartfelt emotional video from the trailer launch of #Uunchai, emphasising on the rich contributions of #Barjatyas and #Rajshri."

On the work front, Mahaveer Jain is preparing for 'Binny and Family', a slice-of-life film marking Anjini Dhawan's debut. The film is a collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, Mahaveer Jain Films, Waveband Productions, Shashank Khaitan and Mrighdeep Lamba. It is set to release on August 30.

Apart from this project, Jain is teaming up with director Siddharth Anand for an international thriller based on a real-life incident involving humanitarian Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Another project includes a collaboration with Akshay Kumar and 'Fukrey' director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. This project is reportedly scheduled to start in early 2025.

The celebration of Rajshri Productions' milestone coincides with Sooraj R Barjatya's recognition at the National Film Awards. His dedication speech highlighted his deep connection with both his family and Rajshri Productions.
