Sonu Sood Returns To His Homeland Punjab To Promote Fateh Film And Celebrate His Roots
Sonu Sood recently returned to Punjab, his cherished homeland, to promote his upcoming film, Fateh. The movie is an action-packed story centred on cybercrime. Sonu's day began with a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar for blessings. He then enjoyed a traditional Punjabi meal at a local dhaba, embracing his cultural roots. His journey continued to the Wagah Border, where he honoured India's soldiers.
While at Wagah, Sonu also visited Check Post 102, the historic boundary between India and Pakistan. The crowd was thrilled to see him in this significant setting. During the parade, Sonu shared a sneak peek of Fateh with the soldiers. The trailer reveals him as an ex-special ops officer aiming to dismantle a cybercrime network threatening lives.

Sonu expressed deep emotions about his connection to Punjab: "Punjab is my homeland, and stepping into the role of a director, I knew this journey had to begin at the Golden Temple, where my film opens. Growing up here has shaped who I am, and every return fills me with gratitude and pride. As we prepare to present our film to the audience, seeking blessings at the Golden Temple and witnessing the parade at Wagah Border have been very calming and motivating. The patriotism that this soil instils are treasures I carry with me every step of the way."
The city of Amritsar welcomed Sonu warmly. Everywhere he went, people greeted him with cheers and smiles. Whether interacting with local cooks or chatting with a tailor, Sonu's day was filled with nostalgia and gratitude for his roots.
Fateh features Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vijay Raaz alongside Sonu Sood. This ensemble promises an engaging cinematic experience. Produced by Umesh KR Bansal of Zee Studios and Sonali Sood of Shakti Sagar Productions, Fateh is co-produced by Ajay Dhama.
The film is set for release on January 10, 2025. It tells a gripping tale of courage and resilience against cybercrime threats.
