Shatrughan Sinha Defends Daughter Sonakshi Sinha Amid Mukesh Khanna Ramayana Controversy

Sonakshi Sinha and Mukesh Khanna have been in the spotlight due to a 'Ramayana' question on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. In 2019, Sonakshi couldn't answer a Ramayana-related question, leading Mukesh Khanna to criticise her upbringing. Recently, Sonakshi addressed this issue with an open letter on Instagram.

The controversy between Sonakshi Sinha and Mukesh Khanna has gained significant attention online. Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi's father, has now spoken out about the situation. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he criticised Mukesh Khanna, questioning his authority as a guardian of Hinduism.

Shatrughan Sinha Supports Sonakshi Sinha

Shatrughan Sinha expressed his support for Sonakshi amidst the ongoing debate. He stated that he is proud of all his children and highlighted that Sonakshi achieved stardom independently. He emphasised that not answering a Ramayana question doesn't make her any less of a Hindu.

The veteran actor was quoted saying, "I believe someone has a problem with Sonakshi not answering a question on the Ramayana. Firstly what qualifies this person to be an expert on all things to do with the Ramayana? And who has appointed him the guardian of the Hindu religion?"

Shatrughan Sinha further praised Sonakshi's achievements, noting she became successful without needing his help to launch her career. He asserted that she doesn't require validation from anyone regarding her faith or identity as a Hindu.

This ongoing debate highlights differing perspectives on cultural knowledge and personal beliefs within the entertainment industry. The incident continues to spark discussions among fans and followers of both actors involved.
