According to Pinkvilla, the ensemble cast includes Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Mukul Dev, Vijay Raaz, Ravi Kishan, Chunkey Pandey, Neeru Bajwa, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia, and Ashwini Kalsekar. "Son of Sardaar 2 is a strong family entertainer with a robust ensemble cast. The plot revolves around quirky characters and humour stemming from their interactions. The team has chosen actors who can convincingly deliver comic sequences and are confident the audience will enjoy this funny ride in 2025," said a source.

The film is being shot primarily in Scotland until the end of August. "The team plans to wrap up the international leg in Scotland before moving to Mumbai for the second schedule. They will then shoot in multiple cities across North India," the source added.

Jio Studios is producing the film along with Devgn Films, NR Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja. It is set for release in the latter half of 2025. Besides Son of Sardaar 2, Ajay Devgn has several other projects lined up including Singham Again, Raid 2, De De Pyaar De 2, Total Dhamaal, and Golmaal 5.
