Describing Sonu Nigam as her biggest crush, Somy said, "I have had the biggest crush on him since the 90s... I detested the film parties and loved two words the most, 'pack up.'" Reflecting on working with Sonu Nigam, Somy stated, "I was completely taken aback by his kindness and humility... He doesn't do a thing for free and he's rude be it a woman or a man for no reason whatsoever." "He was an absolute gentleman," Somy added. She introduced his music to her mother through YouTube videos. Her mother appreciated his voice and smile. Somy's admiration extends beyond Sonu Nigam; she also has a significant crush on Shah Rukh Khan and admires Gauri Khan's elegance.
