Delhi Embraces Sohum Shah With Open Arms At 'Tumbbad' Screening

Impressively, 6000 tickets for the opening day at major chains have already sold out, even though the film is set to release on September 13.

'Tumbbad,' a Hindi-language folk horror film from 2018, was directed by Rahi Anil Barve. Anand Gandhi served as the creative director, while Adesh Prasad co-directed. The screenplay was crafted by Mitesh Shah, Prasad, Barve, and Gandhi. Sohum Shah produced the film alongside Aanand L. Rai, Mukesh Shah, and Amita Shah. Shah also starred as Vinayak Rao.

'Tumbbad' earned eight nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards and won three: Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Sound Design. Critics praised its gripping story, exceptional production design, and striking cinematography. It was also the first Indian film to premiere in the Critics' Week Section of the 75th Venice International Film Festival.
