Smoke Unveils New EP Khel Kood, Promoting Individuality In Indian Hip-Hop Scene

Smoke, a prominent figure in Indian hip-hop, has released his latest EP, 'Khel Kood,' available on all major digital platforms. This collection of seven tracks features collaborations with artists like Umer Anjum, Yoki, Rebel 7, and OG Lucifer. Known as India's "Punchline King," Smoke uses 'Khel Kood' to convey a strong message about self-reliance and forging one's path beyond traditional success metrics.

Before the full release of 'Khel Kood,' fans got a preview with singles 'Clout Chase' and 'Filmy Freestyle.' These tracks set the stage for the EP's diverse musical journey. Smoke, who is 27 and based in Delhi, also collaborated with Prabh Deep on 'Cypher I' for JioCinema's series 'Khalbali Records,' solidifying his position in India's indie music scene.

The EP begins with 'A ONE,' which introduces listeners to UK-style hip-hop beats while narrating Smoke's upbringing in Delhi and his musical evolution. Following this is 'Piracy,' featuring OG Lucifer, which revisits early 2000s hip-hop vibes within an Indian context. Tracks like 'Clout Chase' and 'Gorilla,' featuring Rebel 7, explore fame and competition in the music industry.

'Bigda (Remix)' features Qaab, adding dynamic energy to the EP. Meanwhile, 'Filmy Freestyle' blends Detroit-style rap with Bollywood beats through contributions from Umer Anjum and Yoki Muzic. The EP concludes with 'For My Name,' a track inspired by J. Cole that delves into themes of love, loss, and perseverance.
