Sky Force Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar’s Film Surpasses Rs 95 Crores On First Tuesday
The action-packed drama, Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar, has been a major attraction at the box office. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the film is inspired by real events. It introduces Veer Pahariya in his first role, with Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur playing key parts. Sharad Kelkar appears as a Pakistani officer. Released just before Republic Day 2025, it has become a significant cinematic event this year.
Sky Force highlights a crucial historical moment: the Sargodha airbase attack during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war. This event marked India's initial airstrike on Pakistan. Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya portray Indian Air Force officers for the first time. The collaboration between Veer Pahariya and Sara Ali Khan has also drawn attention for their on-screen chemistry.

On its fifth day, Sky Force collected Rs 5.75 crores domestically, according to Sacnilk reports. The film maintained its momentum overseas, earning Rs 25 lakhs on the same day. After five days of release, its total earnings reached Rs 7 crores.
Globally, Sky Force's box office collection amounted to Rs 96.75 crores by the end of its first Tuesday (day 5), as reported by Sacnilk.
Discussing Sky Force with HT City, Akshay Kumar shared insights about his character: "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
The movie's portrayal of historical events and personal stories has resonated with audiences worldwide. Its success reflects both its engaging narrative and strong performances by the cast.
