Sky Force Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar's Film Surpasses Rs 46 Crores
Since its release on January 24, 2025, Sky Force has captivated audiences with its unique blend of action and drama. Starring Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan, alongside newcomers Veer Pahariya and Nimrit Kaur, the film marks Pahariya's Bollywood debut. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, it offers a compelling storyline set against a significant historical backdrop.
The movie revisits the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965, focusing on India's first airstrike on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase. This pivotal event provides a thrilling backdrop for the plot, adding depth to the storytelling. The choice to dramatize such a critical moment in history has drawn audiences with its promise of action fueled by real-life heroism.

According to Sacnilk, Sky Force recorded an opening day collection of Rs 11.25 crores and earned Rs 22 crores on day 2. In the overseas market, the film collected Rs 3 crores on day 2, bringing the total overseas earnings to Rs 5 crores.
Sacnilk also reported that Sky Force maintained a strong presence at the worldwide box office on day 2. The film's global earnings reached Rs 46 crores after two days of release.
Akshay Kumar shared insights about his role in Sky Force with HT City: "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
Despite varying predictions regarding its box office performance, Sky Force has made a strong impression worldwide. It has received positive reviews from both audiences and critics alike in India and beyond.
