Sky Force Box Office Day 7: Akshay Kumar's Film Experiences Morning Show Footfall Increase

Akshay Kumar's film, Sky Force, has been performing well at the box office. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, this movie is inspired by real events. It features a talented cast including Sharad Kelkar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, and newcomer Veer Pahariya. Akshay and Veer play Indian Air Force officers, marking Akshay's first role as an Air Force pilot.

The film is set against the backdrop of India's first airstrike during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war. It focuses on the attack on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase. Sharad Kelkar portrays a Pakistani air force officer, adding depth to the story. Since its release, Sky Force has been praised by critics and audiences alike for its historical portrayal and strong performances.

On its first Thursday after release, Sky Force experienced an increase in audience numbers. According to Sacnilk, the film had a morning show occupancy of 7.01% on day seven. This marked the highest morning show occupancy for that Thursday.

Sky Force has often been compared to Hrithik Roshan's Fighter. However, on its seventh day and first Thursday, it did not surpass Fighter's performance. Fighter recorded an 8.45% footfall in morning shows on its first Thursday and 11.94% on the preceding Wednesday.

Discussing Sky Force, Akshay Kumar shared with HT City: "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
