Sky Force Box Office Day 5: Akshay Kumar's Film Achieves Highest First Tuesday Footfalls
Akshay Kumar's latest film, Sky Force, has been drawing attention since its release. Directed by Abhis Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the movie is set during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air conflict. It showcases India's airstrike on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase. The film stars Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan, Sharad Kelkar, and newcomer Veer Pahariya alongside Akshay Kumar.
The storyline of Sky Force delves into the lives of Indian Air Force officers and their families amidst wartime challenges. Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya play these officers, while Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan portray their wives, adding a personal dimension to the narrative. Sharad Kelkar enriches the cast by playing a Pakistani Air Force officer.

On its fifth day in theatres, Sky Force experienced a slight increase in ticket sales after a significant drop on the first Monday. According to Sacnilk, the film recorded a 6.53% footfall today (day 5/first Tuesday). This marks the highest morning show occupancy for its first Tuesday.
Comparisons between Sky Force and Hrithik Roshan's Fighter have been frequent. However, on day 5 and first Tuesday, Akshay's film did not surpass Fighter. Notably, Fighter achieved a 20.29% footfall in morning shows on its third day and 8.88% on the first Monday.
Discussing Sky Force with HT City, Akshay said, "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
