The release of Sky Force, coinciding with the 76th Republic Day, has stirred patriotic feelings across India. This film, featuring Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrit Kaur, and newcomer Veer Pahariya, explores a significant event in Indian military history. It highlights India's first airstrike on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani war. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, its compelling story and historical importance have captured public attention.

Sky Force has achieved remarkable success at the box office since its debut. The film's portrayal of Indian Air Force officers by Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya has been praised for its realism and patriotic spirit. The chemistry between Veer Pahariya and Sara Ali Khan has particularly resonated with audiences, enhancing the film's acclaim. As it continues to receive positive reviews, Sky Force is setting new records daily and maintained its momentum on the third day.

Sky Force Sets New Box Office Records

On its first Sunday, Sky Force amassed Rs 27.5 crores, marking the highest Sunday collection of 2025 so far.

Following a Rs 22 crore collection on its second day, Sky Force earned Rs 27.5 crores on day three. This achievement makes it the highest third-day collection of the year.

Unmatched Opening Weekend Success

Sky Force collected Rs 22 crores on its first Saturday and Rs 27.5 crores on Sunday, totalling Rs 49.5 crores over the opening weekend. This figure represents the highest opening weekend collection for 2025.

Akshay Kumar's Post-Pandemic Milestone

The film's Rs 27.5 crore earnings on day three also mark Akshay Kumar's highest first Sunday and third-day collections since the pandemic began.

Sara Ali Khan's Notable Achievement

For Sara Ali Khan, Sky Force ranks as her second-highest third-day and first Sunday collection after her 2018 hit Simmba.

Discussing Sky Force with HT City, Akshay Kumar shared insights about his character: "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war; it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind."
