Sky Force Box Office Collection Prediction: Akshay Kumar's Film Expected To Surpass Rs 85 Crores Ahead Of Deva Release

Akshay Kumar's latest film, Sky Force, has been a significant talking point in the film industry. The movie features Akshay as an Indian Air Force pilot, a role he is portraying for the first time. The cast includes Sharad Kelkar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, and newcomer Veer Pahariya. Both Akshay and Veer play Indian Air Force officers, and their on-screen chemistry has been well-received by audiences.

Sky Force is inspired by India's first airstrike during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war, focusing on the Sargodha airbase in Pakistan. This historical context adds depth to the film's narrative. Sharad Kelkar's role as a Pakistani air force officer provides a complex angle to the story. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the film has been praised for its realistic depiction of events and has achieved notable success at the box office.

After experiencing a significant drop on its first Monday, Sky Force has managed to maintain stable earnings at the box office. On its fifth day (first Tuesday), it earned Rs 5.75 crores, followed by Rs 5.96 crores on day six (first Wednesday). This brought its total earnings to Rs 80.96 crores.

The trend suggests that Sky Force will continue to perform well on its seventh day (first Thursday). It is expected to earn between Rs 5-6 crores today, pushing its total opening week collection past Rs 85 crores before Shahid Kapoor's Deva releases.

Discussing Sky Force with HT City, Akshay Kumar said, "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind."
