Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar's Film Achieves Highest Collections And Sets Records

Akshay Kumar's latest film, Sky Force, has captured the patriotic spirit leading up to Republic Day 2025. The movie features Sara Ali Khan, Nimrit Kaur, and newcomer Veer Pahariya alongside Kumar. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, it is based on India's first airstrike on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani war, a pivotal moment in Indian military history.

The film stars Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya as Indian Air Force officers. Their performances have been praised for their authenticity and patriotic fervor. The chemistry between Veer Pahariya and Sara Ali Khan has also been highlighted, making Veer a standout performer. As Sky Force opened to positive reviews, it continued to break records at the box office on its second day.

Sky Force Achieves Highest Day 2 Box Office Records

Sky Force achieved a remarkable Rs 22 crores on its second day, marking the highest day 2 collection of 2025 so far. This impressive performance reflects the film's growing popularity among audiences.

The film saw a significant 75% increase in earnings on its first Saturday, collecting Rs 22 crores. This achievement makes it the highest first Saturday collection of the year, further solidifying its success.

Surpassing Previous Akshay Kumar Films

Sky Force has outperformed Akshay Kumar's last ten releases in terms of both day 2 and first Saturday collections. This milestone highlights the film's strong box office performance compared to his previous works.

Sara Ali Khan's Post-Pandemic Success

For Sara Ali Khan, Sky Force marks her highest second-day collection since the Covid pandemic began. It also stands as her career's second-highest day 2 collection, showcasing her growing appeal among audiences.

Discussing Sky Force with HT City, Akshay Kumar shared insights about his character: "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
