Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Akshay Kumar's Film Set For Strong Opening Amid Comparisons With Fighter
The year 2025 is shaping up to be significant for newcomers in Bollywood. Following the debut of Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan in Abhishek Kapoor's Azaad, Veer Pahariya, son of business magnate Sanjay Pahariya and Smruit Shinde, is stepping into the limelight. His first film, Sky Force, directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, is inspired by true events.
Sky Force features Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur. The film depicts India's counterattack on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war. This event marked India's inaugural airstrike. Akshay and Veer portray Indian air force officers. The movie has generated considerable excitement with its songs and trailer, sparking curiosity about its box office performance.

Advance bookings for Sky Force have been promising, earning Rs 3.78 crores. Film business expert Rohit Jaiswal shared with Filmibeat that the movie is anticipated to have a strong opening at the box office. It is expected to earn between Rs 7-9 crores initially, with potential growth through positive word of mouth.
Sky Force faces comparisons with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter. Fighter earned Rs 22.5 crores on its first day, a figure Sky Force is unlikely to surpass, potentially earning less than half of Hrithik's film. However, if predictions hold true, it will be Veer Pahariya's biggest opener and Sara Ali Khan's second best after Simmba.
Discussing Sky Force, Akshay Kumar told HT City about his role: "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
