Sky Force Advance Booking Report: Akshay Kumar's Film Shows Decent Opening Ahead Of Release
Akshay Kumar, known as Bollywood's 'Khiladi', is preparing for his first film release of the year with 'Sky Force'. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, this patriotic movie is one of the year's most awaited films. Based on true events, the Hindi-language aerial action film has started its advance booking on a modest note.
Jointly produced by Maddock Films, Amar Kaushik, and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios, 'Sky Force' tells an untold story of bravery. It showcases India's first and deadliest airstrike on the big screen. The film features Akshay Kumar as Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja and introduces Veer Pahariya as T. Vijaya. Set during the 1965 Indo-Pakistan airstrike, it marks Veer's Bollywood debut. Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur also play significant roles.

The advance booking for 'Sky Force' began yesterday (Jan 21) in select theatres. According to Pinkvilla, approximately 40k-60k tickets were sold in major national chains like PVR Inox and Cinepolis by yesterday. Sacnilk reports that pre-sales are looking decent so far. Around 10k tickets have been sold domestically by 12:15 pm today, grossing approximately Rs 18.95 lakhs for the opening day. The total estimated amount stands at Rs 43.79 lakhs with block seats included.
'Sky Force', starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, is set to hit theatres on January 24th, 2025 (Friday), just before Republic Day.
With two days remaining until its theatrical release, 'Sky Force' has generated a decent buzz and is expected to surpass 'Sarfira's pre-sales for opening day through advance bookings. According to Sacnilk, 'Sarfira' had sold over 34k tickets, grossing around Rs 1.41 crore with block seats for its opening day.
