Sky Force Advance Booking Day 1 Update: Akshay Kumar's Film Surpasses Sarfira And Khel Khel Mein

Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya star in the upcoming Bollywood film, Sky Force, which is gradually gaining attention. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, this patriotic aerial-action film is inspired by true events, focusing on the India vs Pakistan airstrike in 1965. Sky Force marks Veer Pahariya's Bollywood debut; he is the grandson of Maharashtra's former Chief Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde.

Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Sky Force also features Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in significant roles. The film is set to release on 24th January 2025, just before Republic Day. This timing aims to capitalise on the patriotic fervour associated with the national holiday.

The advance booking for Sky Force began on Tuesday, January 21, with limited screens. Akshay Kumar plays Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, while newcomer Veer Pahariya portrays T. Vijaya. Although initial bookings were slow, pre-sales eventually gained momentum as interest grew among audiences.

Sacnilk reports that over 72,707 tickets have been sold for the opening day as of a day before its release. By 1:15 pm, the film had grossed approximately Rs 1.74 crore without block seats and Rs 2.78 crore with block seats for its first day.

Sky Force has outperformed Akshay Kumar's previous films Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein in opening day pre-sales. According to Sacnilk, Sarfira sold 34,373 tickets for its first day, earning around Rs 1.41 crore with block seats included. Meanwhile, Khel Khel Mein sold 47,202 tickets with an estimated revenue of Rs 1.98 crore including block seats.

The film's storyline and patriotic theme are expected to resonate well with audiences during its release period. As anticipation builds, it remains to be seen how Sky Force will perform at the box office compared to other recent releases.
