Sky Force Advance Booking Collection Day 1 Surpasses OMG 2 With Rs 3.22 Crores

As Republic Day approaches, the Indian film industry is gearing up to present a cinematic treat with "Sky Force." Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films, this action drama is inspired by true events. The film portrays India's first airstrike during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani war, focusing on the attack on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase.

The anticipation for "Sky Force" has been high, thanks to its impressive cast featuring Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrit Kaur, and newcomer Veer Pahariya. The film's songs and trailer have generated significant excitement. In response to this buzz, advance bookings were recently opened and received a positive response from audiences.

Reports from Sacnilk indicate that "Sky Force" has garnered Rs 3.22 crores through advance bookings. Approximately 1.3 lakh tickets have been sold for over 12 thousand shows across India.

With its Rs 3.22 crore advance booking collection, "Sky Force" has surpassed the advance booking figures of "OMG 2," which stood at Rs 3.2 crores. This achievement marks the fourth highest advance booking collection for an Akshay Kumar film in the past five years, following "Sooryavanshi," "Samrat Prithviraj," and "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan."

Discussing "Sky Force," Akshay Kumar shared with HT City, "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
