CBFC Mandates Modifications To Singham Again Ahead Of Release
Singham Again Censor Report: The film Singham Again has been in the spotlight since its announcement. With a captivating storyline and a cast of renowned Bollywood actors, it has captured attention for months. Recently, as the film was submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for approval, modifications were requested before its release.
The CBFC granted Singham Again a U/A certificate but required changes to certain scenes. A 23-second 'match-cut' scene featuring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh, symbolising Lord Rama, Sita Maa, and Lord Hanuman from Ramayana, needed alteration. Additionally, a scene where 'Singham with Shri Ram touching feet' had to be changed.

Another scene involving Arjun Kapoor as Raavan pulling and pushing Sita was removed. Scenes like 'Hanuman burning Lanka' and 'Simmbra flirting dialogue' were also deleted. Dialogue between Zubair and Simmba was altered, with some of Zubair's lines removed entirely.
A 26-second dialogue was cut due to concerns about affecting international relations with a neighbouring country. The background score featuring Shiva Stotra was also eliminated. Furthermore, Zubair's line "Teri kahaani ka Raavan main hoon, tere chahite ko bhej" required modification.
The CBFC instructed the filmmakers to revise the disclaimer to state: "This film is purely a work of fiction...Although inspired by the story of Lord Ram, neither its narrative nor characters should be viewed as revered deities...The story features contemporary characters of today...or societies, and their cultures, customs, practices, and traditions."
The total duration of cuts in the film amounts to 7 minutes and 12 seconds. Consequently, the final runtime of Singham Again is now 144.12 minutes.
