Sidhu Moose Wala, the renowned Punjabi singer and political figure, was tragically shot dead on May 29, 2024, in Mansa. Reports indicate that he was the target of 30 rounds of gunfire, and his lifeless body was discovered in the back seat of a car. Sidhu Moose Wala had gained fame in the Punjabi entertainment industry for his exceptional singing talent and outspoken political views. Notably, he had contested an election from Mansa on a Congress ticket.

On the occasion of Sidhu Moose Wala's death anniversary, his mother, Charan Kaur, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note dedicated to her late son. Although the note was originally written in Punjabi, it has been translated by Viral Bhayani. The poignant message reads, "My dear son, today marks 730 days, 17,532 hours, 1,051,902 minutes, and 63,115,200 seconds since you left our home." Charan Kaur expresses her anguish over losing her son to her enemies and how it has cast a shadow of darkness over her life. Despite this immense loss, she finds solace in her faith in the almighty and expresses gratitude for being blessed with another son. She concludes by saying, "Though I may not see you physically, I can feel your presence with my heart."
