Shaitaan Box Office Triumph: Ajay Devgn's Latest Horror Surpasses £50M In Opening Weekend

Ajay Devgn's latest film, "Shaitaan," has been generating buzz since its announcement, marking his first collaboration with R Madhavan and Jyotika. Directed by Vikas Bahl, this movie also represents the second venture into the horror genre for both Ajay and Madhavan. Ajay's previous horror movie, "Bhoot," and Madhavan's "13B" had both received positive responses from audiences.

The psychological thriller "Shaitaan" has received positive reviews upon its release. It made a significant impact at the box office, opening with a collection of Rs 14.75 crores, positioning it as the second highest opener of 2024, following closely behind the Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer "Fighter." The film saw an increase in collections on its second day (Saturday), bringing in Rs 18.75 crores and taking its total to Rs 33.5 crores. Predictions for the third day (Sunday) suggest a further increase in collections, estimating between Rs 18-25 crores. It is anticipated that "Shaitaan" will surpass the Rs 50 crores mark during its opening weekend.

In an interview, R Madhavan shared his experience working with Ajay Devgn for the first time. He expressed his admiration for Ajay, referring to him as the real 'Singham' of the industry due to his subtle emoting and choice of roles. Madhavan was initially surprised when offered a significant role in "Shaitaan," expecting Ajay to take on the larger role himself. He was impressed by Ajay's willingness to spotlight another artist, showcasing his maturity and passion for the craft. Madhavan hopes to live up to the faith Ajay has shown in him.
