Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 14: Ajay Devgn's Film Falls Short Of Fighter, Drishyam 2
Ajay Devgn's latest film, "Shaitaan," has been the talk of the town since its release, showcasing his versatility as an actor alongside R Madhavan and Jyotika. Directed by Vikas Bahl, this psychological thriller is a remake of the Gujarati film "Vash" and has successfully captivated audiences with its compelling narrative. The film's performance at the box office has been noteworthy, with "Shaitaan" maintaining a steady pace amidst stiff competition.
The movie kicked off its box office journey with an impressive opening day collection of Rs 14.75 crores. Over the weekend, it saw significant increases in revenue but experienced a notable dip on the second Monday. Despite this, "Shaitaan" has managed to sustain its momentum, with recent reports from Sacnilk indicating a collection of Rs 2.75 crores on its thirteenth day, bringing the total to Rs 111.8 crores.

Current projections suggest that "Shaitaan" is expected to add another Rs 2-2.5 crores to its tally on day 14 (second Thursday). However, these figures indicate that it might not surpass the box office performance of "Fighter," the first hit of 2024, or Ajay Devgn's own blockbuster, "Drishyam 2," on their respective second Thursdays. "Fighter" had garnered Rs 6 crores, while "Drishyam 2" collected Rs 4.31 crores on the same day.
In a recent interview, R Madhavan shared his experience working with Ajay Devgn for the first time. He expressed immense admiration for Devgn, referring to him as the real 'Singham' of the industry due to his subtle emoting skills and choice of roles. Madhavan was initially surprised when offered his role in "Shaitaan," questioning why Devgn did not take on the more prominent part himself. He was touched by Devgn's generosity in allowing him to shine in the film, highlighting Devgn's maturity and passion for cinema. Madhavan hopes to live up to the faith placed in him with his performance in "Shaitaan."
The film's success at the box office and positive reviews from both critics and audiences alike underscore the effective storytelling and strong performances by the cast. As "Shaitaan" continues its theatrical run, it remains a significant entry in Ajay Devgn's diverse filmography and a testament to his ability to captivate viewers across different genres.
