Shaitaan Faces Hurdle In Box Office Collection On Day 12: Aims For 3Cr Milestone

Shaitaan, a psychological thriller directed by Vikas Bahl and starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika, has been making waves at the box office. The film, which marks the first collaboration between Devgn and Madhavan, has been met with positive reviews from both critics and audiences alike. Madhavan's portrayal of the lead antagonist has been particularly praised, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

The movie kicked off its box office journey with an impressive opening day collection of Rs 14.75 crores and quickly surpassed the Rs 50 crore mark during its first weekend. Despite experiencing a slight dip in collections on the first Monday, Shaitaan maintained a steady performance throughout the week. The film's success continued into its second weekend, allowing it to join the prestigious Rs 100 crores club. However, it faced a 75% drop in collections on the second Monday, with earnings of Rs 2.41 crores on day 11, bringing its total to Rs 105.46 crores.

Shaitaan Day 12: Box Office Challenge

According to projections, Shaitaan is expected to face challenges in surpassing the Rs 3 crore mark on day 12 (second Tuesday), as it aims for a total nearing Rs 110 crores. This performance indicates a strong but fluctuating box office trajectory for the film.

In an interview, R Madhavan shared his thoughts on working with Ajay Devgn for the first time. He expressed his admiration for Devgn's subtle acting style and diverse role choices. Madhavan revealed that he was initially surprised when Devgn offered him the more prominent role in Shaitaan, highlighting Devgn's maturity and passion for cinema. Madhavan hopes to live up to the faith placed in him by delivering a performance that does justice to the character and Devgn's generosity.

This collaboration between two of Bollywood's finest actors in a gripping psychological thriller has certainly paid off, as evidenced by Shaitaan's box office performance and critical acclaim. The film's success underscores the audience's appetite for well-crafted stories that are brought to life by talented actors under skilled direction.
