Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 11: Significant Dip Despite £100M Milestone

Ajay Devgn's latest film, "Shaitaan," has swiftly made its mark in the Bollywood industry by joining the prestigious Rs 100 crores club within just 10 days of its release. Directed by Vikas Bahl, this psychological thriller features R Madhavan and Jyotika in pivotal roles. Since its debut on March 8, the film has garnered positive feedback from audiences and critics alike, showcasing a strong performance at the box office.

The movie opened as the second highest-grossing film of 2024, trailing only behind "Fighter." Despite a significant drop in earnings on its first Monday, "Shaitaan" maintained a steady pace throughout its initial week. It faced stiff competition from Sidharth Malhotra's "Yodha" and Adah Sharma's "Bastar: The Naxal Story," yet it managed to surpass the Rs 100 crores milestone.

Shaitaan Day 11: Box Office Dip

Recent reports indicate that on its tenth day, specifically the second Sunday, "Shaitaan" collected Rs 9.75 crores, bringing its total earnings to Rs 103.05 crores. However, it is anticipated to experience a decline in box office collections on day 11, with projections estimating earnings between Rs 3-5 crores for the day. This downturn is expected as part of the normal ebb and flow following a strong weekend performance.

In an insightful interview, R Madhavan shared his experiences working alongside Ajay Devgn for the first time. He expressed immense admiration for Devgn, referring to him as the real 'Singham' of the industry due to his subtle acting skills and choice of roles. Madhavan was initially surprised when Devgn offered him a significant role in "Shaitaan," highlighting Devgn's maturity and passion for cinema. This gesture allowed Madhavan to shine in a role that became central to the film's narrative and promotional materials.

Madhavan's respect for Devgn grew as he witnessed firsthand the generosity and support extended by the latter. This collaboration not only marked a significant milestone in Madhavan's career but also showcased the camaraderie and mutual respect prevalent among Bollywood's leading actors.

"Shaitaan" continues to draw audiences with its intriguing plot and stellar performances, proving that content-driven cinema has a solid place in the hearts of moviegoers. As it approaches the Rs 110 crores mark, the film stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit of Bollywood and its ability to produce engaging stories that resonate with audiences both domestically and internationally.
