Shaitaan Surpasses 100Cr Mark In Just 10 Days, Dominating Over Yodha
Ajay Devgn's latest release, "Shaitaan," a psychological thriller directed by Vikas Bahl, is making waves at the box office. The film, which also stars R Madhavan and Jyotika in pivotal roles, has been well-received by audiences, particularly for Madhavan's portrayal of the lead antagonist. With its engaging storyline and strong performances, "Shaitaan" has quickly become a topic of discussion among moviegoers.
The film kicked off its box office journey with an impressive opening day collection of Rs 14.75 crores. It saw a notable increase in its earnings over the first weekend. However, the first Monday experienced a dip in collections. Despite this, "Shaitaan" managed to hold strong at the box office into its second weekend, even amidst new releases like Sidharth Malhotra's "Yodha" and Adah Sharma's "Bastar: The Naxal Story."

According to recent reports, on its second Saturday (day 9), "Shaitaan" garnered Rs 8 crores, bringing its total collection to Rs 92.80 crores. The film is expected to continue its successful run and is projected to earn between Rs 8-10 crores on its second Sunday (day 10). This performance positions "Shaitaan" on the verge of joining the prestigious Rs 100 crores club, despite facing competition from other films.
In an interview, R Madhavan shared his experience working with Ajay Devgn for the first time. He expressed his admiration for Devgn, referring to him as the real 'Singham' of the industry due to his subtle emoting skills and choice of roles. Madhavan was initially surprised when Devgn offered him a significant role in "Shaitaan," expecting Devgn himself to take on the part. He was touched by Devgn's generosity in giving him a chance to shine in the film and hopes to live up to the faith placed in him.
The success of "Shaitaan" at the box office highlights the audience's appreciation for well-crafted thrillers and strong performances. As it continues its theatrical run, it remains to be seen how much more success this film will achieve.
