Shahid Kapoor Shares Insights On Deva Climax And Character Transformation

Shahid Kapoor is currently in the spotlight due to his upcoming film, Deva. This action crime thriller, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Shahid plays a cop alongside Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati. The film has generated significant buzz, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.

Recently, Shahid engaged with fans on Twitter, discussing his reasons for joining Deva. He shared, "The intrigue intrigued me and of course deva as a character. Cop action thriller in a real raw edgy intense space felt super fresh to me not seen that in a while in a Hindi film". When asked which character he finds more intense among Udta Punjab's Tommy, Haider's Haider, or Deva, Shahid replied, "Deva is MADDEST".

During the Q&A session, Shahid was asked to describe Deva using three words. He promptly responded with "Aggressive, vulnerable and raw". These words encapsulate the essence of his character in the film.

Discussing his physical transformation for the role, Shahid explained to Zoom that he aimed for a rugged appearance rather than a metrosexual look. He envisioned his character as resembling a bulldog—broad-shouldered and tough-looking. He wanted to convey an aura of strength and intimidation.

Shahid also shared insights about the climax of Deva and his initial reaction to reading the script. He tweeted that he found the climax both fresh and shocking: "Was shocked post climax. Found it very fresh". The pre-climax scenes posed significant challenges for him as well.
