Shahid Kapoor expressed concern for Saif Ali Khan's health following a violent incident. Khan, aged 54, was attacked in his Bandra apartment by an intruder and suffered six stab wounds, including one to the neck. After undergoing emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital, doctors confirmed he is out of danger. "We hope Saif's health is better," Kapoor stated during the trailer launch of his film "Deva".

Kapoor shared his shock over the attack, highlighting Mumbai's reputation as a safe city. He mentioned that even late at night, people feel secure. "It's a shocking incident," he remarked, adding that everyone is hoping and praying for Khan's swift recovery. Kapoor and Khan previously worked together in Vishal Bhardwaj's 2017 film "Rangoon", alongside Kangana Ranaut.

During the event, a reporter asked Kapoor how he would handle such incidents if he were a real-life police officer, given his role as a cop in "Deva". Kapoor emphasised that such events are rare in Mumbai and expressed confidence in the police efforts to resolve the case. He noted that it is challenging to comprehend such violence occurring in one's personal space within a city known for its safety.
