Shahbaz Khan Explores His Character In A Real Encounter And Challenges Of Playing Negative Roles
Shahbaz Khan, a well-known actor from popular TV series like 'Chandrakanta' and 'The Great Maratha', is set to appear in the Bollywood film 'A Real Encounter'. Directed by Sabir Shaikh, Khan takes on the role of an encounter specialist officer in this upcoming release.
In a conversation with Salman Khan from Filmibeat, Shahbaz Khan shared insights about his character in 'A Real Encounter' and his fondness for portraying negative roles. He also discussed other aspects of his career.

When asked about his role in 'A Real Encounter', Shahbaz Khan explained, "This is a fiction film but it has been made inspired by a real incident. I play an encounter specialist named Arjun Ranade and the challenges that policemen have to face during encounters and how the system turns against them and how they have to respond is also one aspect. The other aspect is that parents should keep an eye on their children, this is the age of social media. Sometimes we meet wrong people on social media. It is important to avoid such things. This is the message."
Khan spoke about working alongside seasoned actors Raza Khan and Mushtaq Khan. He highlighted that collaborating with individuals he shares personal bonds with enhances his performance. Despite coming from a musical family, he couldn't pursue music after losing his father during childhood.
Views on Current Generation Actors
Discussing today's actors, Shahbaz expressed admiration for past heroes like Vinod Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, noting their strong screen presence. He remarked that while current actors are talented, he misses the charisma of earlier stars. He believes Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn maintain this presence but suggests newer actors focus more on personality development.
Before concluding, Shahbaz Khan revealed his preference for playing antagonistic roles due to their complexity. "There is nothing special about playing a positive role. Playing a negative role is more challenging," he stated.
