Indian Film Festival Melbourne 2024: Jawan & Dunki Vie For Top Honours

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024 has announced its nominations, highlighting Shah Rukh Khan's exceptional performances. The festival, set to run from August 15 to August 25, has nominated SRK for the Best Actor award for his roles in Jawan and Dunki. Both films are also contenders in the Best Film category.

Jawan made a significant impact globally upon its release, offering thrilling action and adventure that captivated audiences and broke box office records. Similarly, Dunki also achieved remarkable success worldwide, earning critical acclaim and setting new standards in the industry.

Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani, has been recognised at the festival. It received a nomination for Best Film and has been praised for its engaging storyline and outstanding performances. Rajkumar Hirani is also up for the Best Director award for his work on Dunki.

Both Jawan and Dunki have enjoyed significant box office success since their releases on September 7, 2023, and December 21, 2023, respectively. These achievements have cemented their positions as influential films in Indian cinema.
