Mumbai Police Launch Investigation Into Death Threat Against Shah Rukh Khan Involving Lawyer Faizan Khan

Mumbai police have launched an investigation into an extortion case involving a death threat against Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. The threat demanded Rs 50 lakh and led to the summoning of a lawyer from Chhattisgarh. The call, traced to a phone registered in the lawyer's name, has captured the attention of law enforcement.

Faizan Khan, a lawyer from Raipur, was asked to appear for questioning at Bandra police station. He had reported his phone missing a week before the threatening call and filed a complaint with local police. Despite this, Mumbai police visited Raipur, intensifying their investigation.

Mumbai Police Investigate Shah Rukh Khan Threat

The threat against Shah Rukh Khan follows similar tactics used against Salman Khan, with suspicions pointing towards the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Mumbai police are diligently working on the case, registering it under strict sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for extortion and criminal intimidation. No arrests have been made yet, but police are actively pursuing leads.

Mumbai's senior officers have not confirmed if the threat originated from Chhattisgarh. However, Raipur's Senior Superintendent Santosh Singh confirmed that Mumbai police contacted a local lawyer for questioning. Initially identified as Faiyaz Khan, his name was later corrected to Faizan Khan. This collaboration between cities highlights the seriousness of the threat.

Faizan Khan claimed his phone was stolen and called the incident a conspiracy to frame him. He told journalists in Raipur about contesting a dialogue from Shah Rukh Khan's 1994 film 'Anjaam', which he found offensive to his beliefs and those of the Bishnoi community known for wildlife protection.

Khan's claim suggests personal grievances might be behind the threatening call. Despite ongoing investigations and intrigue surrounding the case, police have yet to identify who made the menacing call. This situation raises concerns about using lost or stolen phones in criminal activities.

The unfolding drama casts doubt on Bollywood elites' safety and highlights potential misuse of mobile devices in crimes. As investigations continue, cooperation between Mumbai and Raipur law enforcement underscores efforts to protect high-profile citizens and bring culprits to justice.
