Shah Rukh Khan Explains His Absence From Baba Siddique's Funeral Amid Political Concerns
In a tragic incident, former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique was fatally shot outside his son Zeeshan's office on Dussehra evening, 12th October 2024. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the murder of the 66-year-old politician. Amidst the nation's mourning, Shah Rukh Khan's absence from his friend's funeral has raised questions about his reasons for not attending.
Baba Siddique's funeral took place on Sunday, 13th October. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Pooja Bhatt, Shilpa Shetty, and Maniesh Paul, visited Siddique's residence to pay their last respects. However, Shah Rukh Khan's notable absence caught public attention due to his close relationship with the late politician.

According to a report by Times Now, Shah Rukh Khan decided against attending the funeral to avoid being drawn into political controversies. He reportedly wanted to prevent his name from being associated with the case. This decision was influenced by concerns over potential implications involving Salman Khan and the workings of Lawrence Bishnoi's network.
A source explained to the portal that Shah Rukh Khan wished to distance himself from any involvement in the politician's murder case. The source stated, "Shah Rukh Khan doesn't want to get associated in the politician's murder case. The case is also related to Salman Khan and King Khan, for that matter, wishes to stay away from this! Knowing how Lawrence Bishnoi's circuit works, Shah Rukh Khan doesn't want any harm on him anymore. Hence, he has chosen 'disappearance' in the entire matter by skipping Baba Siddique's funeral who was a close friend to him."
The funeral saw many Bollywood figures coming together to honour Baba Siddique. Despite Shah Rukh Khan's absence, others like Salman Khan were present at the ceremony. Their attendance highlighted the strong connections between Bollywood personalities and political figures like Siddique.
The circumstances surrounding Baba Siddique's death have left many in shock and mourning. As investigations continue into this high-profile case, public interest remains focused on both the murder itself and its broader implications within political circles.
