Sarfira's Box Office Journey: £19M In Week One With Akshay Kumar

Sarfira Box Office Collection Day 7 Prediction: Akshay Kumar's latest film, Sarfira, has been the talk of the town since its announcement. The movie is an official remake of the Tamil hit Sorarai Pottru, which starred Suriya. Directed by Sudha Kongara, Sarfira features a stellar cast including Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, and Seema Biswas. Suriya also makes a special appearance in the film. The trailer and songs have generated significant buzz.

Despite the hype, Sarfira had a modest start at the box office with Rs 2.5 crores on its opening day. The film saw an increase in collections over the weekend but experienced a drop on its first Monday. Competing against Prabhas and Deepika Padukone's Kalki 2898 AD, Sarfira has struggled to maintain its box office performance.

According to Sacnilk, Sarfira earned Rs 1.45 crores on its first Monday (day 4) and Rs 1.95 crores on its first Tuesday (day 5). On day 6 (first Wednesday), early estimates suggest it collected Rs 2 crores, bringing the total to Rs 17.40 crores. Based on current trends, Sarfira is expected to earn between Rs 1.5-2 crores today (day 7/first Thursday), likely crossing the Rs 19 crores mark in its first week. The film is projected to achieve a lifetime collection of around Rs 30 crores.

Akshay Kumar expressed his gratitude for being part of Sarfira: "This is my 150th film and it is my best film. I am very thankful to Sudha for giving me this film and the opportunity to be in it." He also praised co-star Radhika Madan's performance: "This is the best performance I have ever seen. I don't know what you all think about her. She is not Maharashtrian, but she has acted like one. She is very well-spoken. Her language was very good and she has gone through whole classes to learn how to speak Marathi and what to say."

As Sarfira continues its box office journey, it will face new competition from Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk's Bad Newz, which releases on July 19.

The film's initial performance indicates that while it has managed to attract attention, sustaining momentum will be crucial for its long-term success at the box office.
