Sarfira Box Office Day 6: Akshay Kumar's Film Approaches £20Cr Milestone
Sarfira Box Office Collection Day 6: Akshay Kumar is making headlines with his latest release, Sarfira. The film also features Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, and Seema Biswas. This marks Akshay's second release this year after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Sarfira is a Bollywood remake of Suriya's Sorarai Pottru and is based on G. R. Gopinath's memoir Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey. It tells the story of a man aiming to create affordable airlines for low-income people, facing numerous obstacles along the way.
The chemistry between Akshay and Radhika and the inspiring storyline generated significant buzz around Sarfira's release. Despite this, the movie has struggled at the box office since its debut. It earned Rs 2.5 crores on its opening day but saw a notable increase in numbers over the opening weekend. However, there was a sharp decline of over 70% in collections on the first Monday.

According to Sacnilk, Sarfira collected Rs 1.45 crores on day 4 (first Monday). The numbers slightly improved on day 5 (first Tuesday) with earnings of Rs 1.95 crores. On day 6 (first Wednesday), early estimates show another increase with Rs 2 crores collected, bringing the total to Rs 17.40 crores. With competition from Nag Ashwin's 2898 AD and Bad Newz releasing this Friday, it remains to be seen how Sarfira will perform in the coming days.
Akshay Kumar expressed his gratitude for being part of Sarfira, stating, "This is my 150th film and it is my best film. I am very thankful to Sudha for giving me this film and the opportunity to be in it." He also praised his co-star Radhika Madan, saying, "This is the best performance I have ever seen. I don't know what you all think about her. She is not Maharashtrian, but she has acted like one. She is very well-spoken. Her language was very good and she has gone through whole classes to learn how to speak Marathi and what to say. That is what she has done."
