Santosh Singh On Entertainment Industry's Fickleness: Embracing Change And Challenges
Director Santosh Singh has experienced the highs and lows of the entertainment world. Reflecting on its unpredictable nature, he acknowledges that change is an inherent part of the industry.
Santosh Singh first gained recognition with the series Broken but Beautiful Season 1, starring Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi. The show was a hit, earning him fan letters and messages praising his work. Despite this success, he did not direct the subsequent seasons, which he accepts as a norm in the industry.

In an interview, Santosh said, "Directing Broken but Beautiful Season 1 was an incredible experience. The love and appreciation I still receive from fans is heartwarming. Although I was offered to direct Season 2, it didn't work out due to date issues. But that's just how our industry operates. Interestingly, I ended up directing Apharan Season 2 even though I wasn't involved in Season 1. As directors, we often find ourselves on both spectrums, and you can't really complain about it."
He further explained that his early days as an assistant taught him that one's value is tied to their last release's quality. This lesson has influenced his professional approach and career choices. He believes good films and promotions lead to success.
Santosh expressed excitement about his upcoming comedy film Nausikhiye, starring Shreya Dhanwanthary, Abhimanyu Dassani, and Amol Parashar. He eagerly anticipates its theatrical release and looks forward to audience reactions.
His recently released series Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond, featuring Jimmy Shergill and Lara Dutta, has also received positive feedback from viewers. This series showcases his versatility in handling different genres.
As Santosh continues to navigate the entertainment industry's uncertainties, his dedication and positive outlook keep him a significant figure in Indian cinema. With a diverse portfolio and promising projects ahead, he embodies the spirit of embracing change and thriving amidst unpredictability.
