Initially unfamiliar with Manekshaw's story, Gulzar expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bring his story to the screen. The director highlighted the logistical challenges faced during production, noting the film's extensive shooting schedule that spanned 13 cities over a year amidst unpredictable weather conditions.

Gulzar proudly stated that despite these challenges, the team managed to adhere to their rigorous schedule, starting on August 8, 2022, and concluding on March 15, 2023, even finishing two days ahead of schedule. This feat was achieved through the team's dedication, which at times involved continuous shooting for nearly 40 hours to meet location deadlines.
