Salman Khan And Rajinikanth Could Team Up For Atlee's Monumental Film
A potential collaboration between renowned actors Rajnikanth and Salman Khan, directed by Atlee, is reportedly being worked on. The project, which is still under discussion, would be produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Atlee, one of India's highest-paid directors.
Sources close to the project revealed that Sun Pictures has a strong relationship with Rajinikanth, while Atlee has been in contact with Salman Khan for the past two years. They are confident about bringing both superstars on board. The makers hope to confirm the film by the end of this year. "Salman Khan aims to start Atlee film after wrapping up Sikandar. Superstar Rajinikanth, on the other hand, will take this up after Coolie. It is a combination to be remembered for generations," said the source.
Meanwhile, another highly anticipated collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan is already underway with the YRF spy thriller 'Tiger Vs Pathaan.' However, the potential crossover between Salman Khan and Rajnikanth could be an even bigger deal.
Atlee on working with Salman Khan
Previously, it was reported that Atlee's next project would be with Allu Arjun. However, due to high fees and non-confirmation from the Pushpa star, that project was shelved. Following this, Atlee approached Salman Khan for his next project, which the Dabangg actor liked. Atlee stated that he has had discussions with various actors as cinema lovers and would love to work with them if given the opportunity.
Currently, Salman Khan is busy shooting for 'Sikandar,' directed by A R Murugadoss – his first project with a South Indian director. On the other hand, Rajinikanth is preparing for the release of 'Vettaiyan' and will begin shooting 'Coolie' afterwards.
