Salman Khan's Residence Attacked: Police Probe Shooting At Galaxy Apartments

Early in the morning on April 14, around 5 am, two unidentified individuals fired three shots at the actor's home while he was present. The Mumbai police swiftly registered a First Information Report (FIR) to kickstart an investigation into this alarming occurrence.

Crime Branch officials were promptly dispatched to the scene, where they undertook a detailed examination and marked the bullet impacts on the walls of Khan's residence. In a bid to identify the assailants, authorities are scrutinizing CCTV footage that captured the attackers, clad in helmets, making their escape on a motorcycle. Despite the footage's low quality obscuring the bike's registration details, police are collaborating with technical experts to enhance the video for clearer leads.

This incident has not only heightened concerns over Khan's safety but also brought back into focus the death threats he has been receiving from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. In light of these threats, Khan's security detail had been previously upgraded to Y-plus. This upgrade came after Bishnoi openly claimed responsibility for an attack outside Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal's house last year and is reported to have sent a threatening email to Khan in March of the same year. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has since identified Khan as one of Bishnoi's top ten targets.

Following this recent attack, security measures at Khan's residence have been significantly strengthened. The Mumbai police are treating this matter with utmost seriousness, given Khan's stature and the direct threats he has faced.
