Police Issue Lookout Circular For Anmol Bishnoi In Salman Khan House Firing
In a significant development, Mumbai police have issued a lookout circular (LOC) against Anmol Bishnoi, the younger sibling of the incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, over the recent shooting incident outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence in Bandra, Mumbai. This move comes as part of the investigation into the alarming event that took place earlier this month, shedding light on the intricate web of criminal activities linked to the Bishnoi brothers.
The authorities are also considering transferring Lawrence Bishnoi from Sabarmati jail in Gujarat to Mumbai and potentially applying the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) to intensify the legal pressure on the accused. Anmol Bishnoi's direct involvement in the incident was confirmed after he publicly claimed responsibility for the attack, prompting the police to act swiftly by issuing the LOC.

An intriguing aspect of this case is Anmol Bishnoi's international connections, with him residing in Canada and frequently visiting the USA. However, investigations revealed that the IP address used to claim responsibility for the attack traced back to Portugal, indicating a complex cross-border dimension to this case.
The initial police response to the shooting at Galaxy Apartment, Salman Khan's Bandra home, was to file a first information report (FIR) under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) pertaining to attempted murder. The early morning attack on April 14 involved two individuals on a motorcycle opening fire at the actor's residence.
Subsequent arrests have been made in connection with this case, including Vicky Gupta (24), Sagar Pal (21), both from Bihar, and Sonu Kumar Subhash Chander Bishnoi (37) along with Anuj Thapan (32). These individuals are accused of supplying the firearms used in the attack, further linking them to the Bishnoi gang's network.
Notably, Sonu Bishnoi and Thapan share a close geographical and criminal association with Lawrence Bishnoi, originating from Fazilka near Punjab. Their involvement extends beyond this incident, as they were previously implicated alongside Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi in another firing case registered in Gangapur, Punjab.
This series of events underscores the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in tackling organized crime and its ramifications on public safety and security. The investigation into the shooting outside Salman Khan's residence not only highlights the criminal activities of the Bishnoi gang but also emphasizes the need for a coordinated approach to combat such threats effectively.
